Michael Serra

Michael Serra is an American mathematics educator and author who taught high school mathematics for over 45 years, primarily in the San Francisco Unified School District. He developed innovative geometry curriculum through classroom experimentation, which evolved into his widely-used textbook 'Discovering Geometry.' Serra received his BA in mathematics from San Francisco State University and his MS from Holy Names College, and served as a mentor and master teacher to colleagues and student teachers.
