Michael Schaller
Michael Schaller is an American historian and professor of history at the University of Arizona since 1974, specializing in U.S. foreign relations, particularly with Asia. He earned his BA from SUNY Binghamton in 1968 and MA and PhD from the University of Michigan in 1969 and 1974, respectively, and served as department chair from 1987 to 1994. Schaller has authored numerous books including 'The American Occupation of Japan: The Origins of the Cold War in Asia' (1985), 'Reckoning with Reagan' (1992), and 'Right Turn: American Life in the Reagan-Bush Era' (2007), earning awards like the Bernath Book Prize.
