Michael Rhodes

Michael Dennis Rhodes (born 1946) is an American Egyptologist and professor emeritus of ancient scripture at Brigham Young University. He earned a B.A. in Classical Greek from BYU, a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and an M.S. in physics from the University of New Mexico, while studying Egyptology at institutions including Johns Hopkins, Oxford, and the Free University of Berlin. Rhodes is renowned for his translations of the Joseph Smith papyri and numerous publications on the Book of Abraham through FARMS.
