Michael Pearson

Michael Patrick Pearson is an American author and professor of creative writing and literature at Old Dominion University, where he has served as director of creative writing and interim director of the MFA program. He has published numerous books, including the novel Shohola Falls (2003), Imagined Places: Journeys into Literary America (1991, a New York Times Notable Book), Dreaming of Columbus (1999), Innocents Abroad Too (2008), Reading Life (2015), and The Road to Dungannon (2023), blending memoir, travel, and literary exploration. His essays and reviews have appeared in publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Creative Nonfiction.[1][2][5]
