Michael Mark Woolfson

Michael Mark Woolfson was a distinguished British physicist and planetary scientist renowned for his pioneering work in X-ray crystallography, particularly the development of direct methods and the MULTAN software package. He also made significant contributions to the study of the origin and dynamical evolution of the Solar System, renewing interest in the capture theory. Woolfson was an Emeritus Professor at the University of York and a Fellow of the Royal Society.
