Michael K. Williams
Michael Kenneth Williams (1966–2021) was an acclaimed American actor best known for his portrayal of Omar Little on HBO's The Wire (2002–2008), as well as roles like Chalky White on Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014). Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he began his career as a dancer before transitioning to acting, appearing in films like Bullet and works by Martin Scorsese. He was also an ACLU Artist Ambassador advocating against mass incarceration and founded the charity Making Kids Win.
