Michael J Sandel

Michael J. Sandel is an American political philosopher and the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government at Harvard University, where he has taught since 1980. Known for his critique of John Rawls and his advocacy of communitarian theory, Sandel has become a leading voice in public philosophy, with his course 'Justice' being the first Harvard course made freely available online and viewed by tens of millions worldwide. His writings on justice, ethics, democracy, and markets have been translated into more than 30 languages.
