Michael Freeman

Michael Freeman, born in 1945, is a British photographer, author, and journalist renowned for his extensive work with major publications like Smithsonian Magazine, for which he completed over 40 assignments spanning three decades. He has authored more than 140 books on diverse subjects including Angkor, tea, and Japanese design, with 74 focused on photography practice, such as The Photographer’s Eye, selling over 3 million copies in 27 languages. Based in London, he frequently travels to Asia for shooting assignments.
