Michael Francis Moloney
Michael Francis Moloney (1888–1934) was an Irish physician, botanist, and nationalist activist who authored one of the earliest books to use the term 'ethnobotany,' titled 'Luibh-sheanchus.' A bilingual supporter of the Irish Republican cause, he was arrested and imprisoned in 1920 for treating wounded rebels and advocating for Irish independence.
