Michael Foreman
Michael Foreman OBE (born 21 March 1938) is a British author and illustrator, one of the best-known and most prolific creators of children's books. He won the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1982 and 1989, and was a runner-up five times, with nominations for the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 1988 and 2010. Growing up in Pakefield, Suffolk, during World War II influenced his work; he studied at Lowestoft School of Art and the Royal College of Art.
