Michael Fordham

Michael Scott Montague Fordham (1905–1995) was an English child psychiatrist and pioneering Jungian analyst who co-edited the English translation of C.G. Jung's Collected Works and founded the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP) in 1946, the first formal Jungian analytic training program worldwide.[1][2][3] He pioneered Jungian child analysis, introduced concepts like the 'primary self' and processes of de-integration and re-integration, and served as the first editor of the Journal of Analytical Psychology from 1955 to 1970.[2][5] His work bridged analytical psychology with object relations psychoanalysis, establishing the 'London School' of analytical psychology.[1][5]
