Michael Eysenck

Michael William Eysenck, born February 8, 1944, in London, England, is a British cognitive psychologist and Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London, with additional roles including Professorial Fellow at Roehampton University.[1][2] Son of psychologists Hans and Margaret Eysenck, he earned his B.A. from the University of London in 1965 and Ph.D. from Birkbeck College in 1972, advancing to professor at Royal Holloway in 1987.[2] His research centers on cognitive factors in anxiety, authoring over 42 books and 200 publications, including developing the 'hedonic treadmill' theory in the late 1990s.[1]
