Mercer Mayer
Mercer Mayer is an American children's author and illustrator born on December 30, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, best known for his Little Critter and Little Monster series. He has published over 300 books since his debut in 1967 with the wordless picture book A Boy, a Dog, and a Frog. After studying at the Honolulu Academy of Arts and the Art Students League in New York, he drew inspiration from his childhood adventures to create endearing characters like dragons, monsters, and critters.
