Melvin Ed Kranzberg
Melvin Kranzberg was an American historian specializing in the history of technology, born in St. Louis, Missouri, who earned degrees from Amherst College and Harvard University.[1][2] He taught at institutions including Case Western Reserve University and Georgia Tech, founded the Society for the History of Technology (SHOT), and served as the long-time editor of its journal Technology and Culture.[1][2] Kranzberg is renowned for his 'Kranzberg's Laws,' particularly the first: 'Technology is neither good nor bad; nor is it neutral.'[1][6]
