Melissa Hardy

Melissa Hardy is an award-winning Ameri-Canadian fiction writer born in 1952 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, known for her novels and short story collections including The Cry of Bees, Constant Fire, and The Uncharted Heart. She has received the Journey Prize in 1994 for 'Long Man the River' and the Canadian Authors' Silver Jubilee Award in 2001, with her work appearing in prestigious anthologies like Best American Short Stories. Now based in Port Stanley, Ontario, she has published five novels and two short story collections.[1][2][3][4][7]
