Melissa Fitzgerald
Melissa Fitzgerald is an American actress best known for her seven-year role as Carol Fitzpatrick on the television series The West Wing, as well as a producer, New York Times best-selling author, and social justice advocate.[1][2][4] She co-founded the mentoring program Voices in Harmony, worked with former child soldiers in Uganda leading to the documentary After Kony: Staging Hope, and co-produced the film Halfway Home about returning veterans.[1][2] Since 2013, she has focused on justice system reform as director of strategic engagement at All Rise (formerly Justice For Vets), lives in Washington, DC, and co-authored the best-seller What's Next with Mary McCormack.[1][2][4]
