Megan Cooley Peterson is an American author and editor best known for her young adult thrillers such as Dead Girls Talking (2024) and The Liar’s Daughter (2019), as well as over 200 nonfiction books for children on topics like dinosaurs, sharks, urban legends, and haunted objects. As a teenager, she was part of a repressive, cult-like doomsday church that discouraged questioning, but she challenged it anyway. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and daughter.
