Maxine Mei-Fung Chung
Maxine Mei-Fung Chung is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and debut novelist based in London who previously worked as a Creative Director for ten years at Condé Nast, The Sunday Times, and The Times. Her first novel, The Eighth Girl (2020), draws on her professional experience with patients suffering from mental disorders and explores themes of trauma, gender, and dissociation. She also lectures on trauma, gender, sexuality, clinical dissociation, and attachment theory at The Bowlby Centre and has authored What Women Want, a book exploring female desire through her therapy patients' stories.
