Maurice Maurice le Blanc

Maurice Leblanc (1864–1941) was a renowned French novelist and journalist best known as the creator of Arsène Lupin, the iconic gentleman-thief and detective. He wrote 27 novels primarily in the genres of detective fiction, adventure, and science fiction, becoming a foundational figure in French crime literature. Though sometimes overshadowed by contemporaries like Conan Doyle, his work inspired countless adaptations in cinema, television, and comics.
