Maurice Maeterlinck
Maurice Maeterlinck was a Belgian Symbolist poet, playwright, and essayist who wrote in French and won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911 for his contributions to Symbolist theatre. Born in Ghent, he later spent much of his life in France and is best known for works such as "Pelléas and Mélisande" and "The Blue Bird".
