Matthew Pearl

Matthew Pearl is an acclaimed American novelist and educator born in New York City who graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College and Yale Law School. He is best known for his literary historical thrillers including The Dante Club, The Poe Shadow, and The Last Dickens, which have become international bestsellers translated into more than thirty languages. Pearl has taught literature and creative writing at Harvard University and Emerson College, and has also published nonfiction works including The Taking of Jemima Boone and produced the Netflix docuseries Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders.
