Matthew Harris
Matthew L. Harris is a Professor of History and Director of Legal Studies at Colorado State University–Pueblo, specializing in U.S. history, religion and law, civil rights, and Mormon studies.[1][2][5] He earned a B.A. and M.A. in history from Brigham Young University and an M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Syracuse University's Maxwell School.[2][3][5] Harris has authored numerous books, including Second-Class Saints: Black Mormons and the Struggle for Racial Equality (2024) and The Mormon Church and Blacks: A Documentary History (2015).[1][2][5]
