Matt Mullins

Dr. Matthew Mullins is an Associate Professor of English at Oklahoma Baptist University, where he teaches American literature, composition, and Western Civilization, having joined in 2024 after serving at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He holds a PhD in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (2012), an MA from North Carolina State University (2007), and a BA from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (2005). His research centers on contemporary American literature, culture, hermeneutics, and literary theory; he is the author of Postmodernism in Pieces (2016) and Enjoying the Bible: Literary Approaches to Loving the Scriptures (2021), with publications in journals like African American Review and Christianity Today.
