Matt Christopher
Matthew Frederick Christopher (1917-1997) was a prolific American author best known for his sports novels for children, writing over 100 books and 300 short stories. His first book, The Lucky Baseball Bat (1954), remained in print for 25 years, and he also played professional baseball, taught, and wrote under pseudonyms. After his death, his family continued producing books under his name.[1][2][5]
