Matt Anniss is a British author, journalist, editor, copywriter, speaker, researcher, DJ, podcaster, and dance music historian best known for documenting and participating in dance music culture over the last quarter of a century. He has written extensively on UK dance music history, including the influential book *Join the Future: Bleep Techno and the Birth of British Bass Music*, and has also authored over 50 non-fiction books for children and young adults on topics such as DJing, filmmaking, podcasting, and music-making.
