Maryrose Wood

Maryrose Wood is an American author, lyricist, librettist, playwright, and screenwriter known for her middle-grade series The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place, featuring a teenage governess and her wolf-raised pupils, as well as young adult novels like Why I Let My Hair Grow Out. A three-time winner of the Richard Rodgers Award, she grew up on Long Island, moved to New York City at 17, graduated from New York University in 1996, and lives in Manhattan with her two children.[1][3][4]
