Mary Kay Carson
Mary Kay Carson is an award-winning author of more than 50 nonfiction books for children on topics including space, weather, nature, wildlife, and history. Born in 1964 in Everett, Washington, she studied biology at the University of Kansas, served in the Peace Corps, and began her writing career at Scholastic's SuperScience magazine before becoming a full-time freelance writer. She lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her husband and dog.
