Mary Frank

Mary Frank (née Lockspeiser), born February 4, 1933, in London, England, is a British-American visual artist known for her work as a sculptor, painter, printmaker, draftswoman, and illustrator.[1][2] She moved to the United States with her family in 1940, studied with Hans Hofmann and Max Beckmann in the early 1950s, and later married photographer Robert Frank, with whom she had two children.[2][5][6] Frank's art explores themes of grief, love, and ecstasy through abstraction and recurring imagery across various media.[2]
