Mary Ann Steane

Mary Ann Steane is an architect by training and a retired Associate Professor in environmental design in architecture at the University of Cambridge. She has researched the use of natural light in buildings, architectural pedagogy, and how architects deploy natural light, authoring the book 'The Architecture of Light: Recent Approaches to Designing with Natural Light' published in 2011. Previously a senior lecturer, she coordinated undergraduate studio teaching and served as course director for the MPhil in Environmental Design.[1][2][3][4]
