Marvin Hamlisch
Marvin Hamlisch was an American composer, pianist, and conductor of remarkable versatility, admired especially for his scores for film and theatre. He is one of only two people to have won a Pulitzer Prize, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award (PEGOT), the other being Richard Rodgers. His career peaked in 1974 when he won three Academy Awards and four Grammys for The Way We Were and The Sting, and he later achieved Broadway success with A Chorus Line, which won the Pulitzer Prize.
