Martin Walker
Martin Walker, born in 1947 in Scotland, is a British author, journalist, and historian best known for his Bruno, Chief of Police detective series set in the Dordogne region of France. After a distinguished career as a foreign correspondent for The Guardian and United Press International, he has written non-fiction works on the Cold War and Gorbachev, as well as the historical thriller The Caves of Périgord. He divides his time between Washington, D.C., and the Dordogne, where he serves as an unofficial cultural ambassador.
