Martin W Sandler

Martin W. Sandler is an American historian, writer, and teacher born in 1933 who has authored more than 60 books about American history and photography. He has won five Emmy Awards for his television writing, the 2019 National Book Award for Young People's Literature, and has been a two-time Pulitzer Prize nominee. He has taught American history and American studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Smith College.
