Martha F. Fischer is a Professor of the Post-graduate course in Bioethics (PPGB) and Biological Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) in Brazil. She holds a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences (1993), Master's in Zoology (1996), PhD in Zoology (2002), and post-doctorate in Chemical Ecology (2008), all from PUCPR or UFPR. Her professional roles include researcher in bioethics, former coordinator of the ethics committee on animal use, former editor-in-chief of Biology Studies journal, and leader of the Environmental Bioethics Research group.[1]
