Marmaduke William Pickthall

Marmaduke William Pickthall (1875–1936) was an English novelist, journalist, and Islamic scholar best known for his 1930 English translation of the Quran, *The Meaning of the Glorious Koran*. He was born in London and later became a prominent Muslim intellectual and commentator on religion and politics.
