Marion Chesney
Marion Chesney was a Scottish writer best known for historical romances and mystery novels. Writing under her own name and the pseudonym M.C. Beaton, she created the popular Agatha Raisin and Hamish Macbeth series and published many books over a long career.[1][3][8]
