Mario Poceski

Mario Poceski is a professor of Buddhist studies and Chinese religions, and chair of the Religion Department at the University of Florida.[1][4][5] Originally from Macedonia, he spent ten years in Asia as a Buddhist monk before earning his MA (1995) and PhD (2000) in East Asian Languages and Cultures with a specialization in Buddhist studies from UCLA.[1][2][3] His research focuses on Chinese Buddhist history, literature, and philosophy, particularly the Chan School during the Tang period, with key publications including 'Ordinary Mind as the Way' (2007) and 'The Records of Mazu' (2015).[1][2][5]
