Marinus Otte

Dr. Marinus L. Otte is a professor of biological sciences at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, USA, specializing in wetlands research, education, biogeochemistry, ecotoxicology, and phytoremediation for over 30 years.[1][2][3] He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Wetlands since 2012, has published nearly 100 peer-reviewed articles, and is a lifetime member of the Society of Wetland Scientists with projects spanning multiple countries including the Netherlands, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, China, Taiwan, Mexico, and the USA.[1][2] He earned his master’s and doctorate degrees from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and is a Fulbright Specialist in water and wetlands.[2][3]
