Maria Ressa
Maria Ressa is a Filipino-American journalist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate who co-founded and serves as CEO of Rappler, a digital media company dedicated to investigative journalism in the Philippines. She was awarded the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize alongside Dmitry Muratov for using freedom of expression to expose abuse of power and authoritarianism in her native country. Ressa is also an author who has written books on terrorism and is currently a professor at Columbia University.
