Margaret Yorke
Margaret Yorke (1924-2012) was a renowned British crime fiction writer born Margaret Beda Nicholson in Surrey, England. She spent her childhood in Dublin before returning to England in 1937, and later worked as a librarian at Oxford before launching her writing career in the late 1950s. She published over 40 novels, chaired the Crime Writers' Association from 1979-1980, and received the CWA Cartier Diamond Dagger in 1999.
