Margaret Read MacDonald
Margaret Read MacDonald is an American storyteller, folklorist, and award-winning children's book author born in 1940. With a Ph.D. in folklore from Indiana University and over 35 years of experience as a children's librarian, she has published more than 65 books featuring retellings of folktales from world oral traditions. She is recognized internationally as a master storyteller and educator, known for her lively performances and prolific contributions to children's literature.
