Margaret McDonagh
Margaret McDonagh, Baroness McDonagh, was a prominent British Labour Party politician who served as the party's first female General Secretary from 1998 to 2001, playing a key role in Tony Blair's 1997 landslide election victory. She later became a life peer in the House of Lords in 2004 and worked as a management consultant and non-executive director before passing away from glioblastoma in 2023.
