Margaret Lazarus Dean is an American author of fiction and creative nonfiction. She is best known for the novel *The Time It Takes to Fall* and the nonfiction book *Leaving Orbit*, and she has also co-written *Endurance* with astronaut Scott Kelly.[1][2][4]
