Margaret Hillert
Margaret Hillert was an American author, poet, and educator best known for her children's books, particularly the 'Just Beginning to Read' and 'Dear Dragon' primer series for early readers. A former elementary school teacher in Michigan, she published more than 65 children's books and thousands of poems throughout her career, earning several literary awards including Michigan Bookwoman of the Year.
