Marcus Harrison

Marcus Harrison Green is a journalist and essayist born and raised in South Seattle, who grew up Black in the Southend and attended private schools and California Lutheran University. After working in the investment world, he returned to his community, co-founded the South Seattle Emerald, and now serves as the South King County Reporter for the Seattle Times. He is a former Reporting Fellow with YES! Magazine, a past board member of the Society of Professional Journalists' Western Washington Chapter, and recipient of Crosscut’s Courage Award for Culture.
