Marc Lewis PhD

Marc Lewis is a Canadian neuroscientist and professor emeritus of developmental psychology who taught at the University of Toronto (1989-2010) and Radboud University in the Netherlands (2010-2016). He is the author of over 75 journal publications and two books on addiction, including 'Memoirs of an Addicted Brain' (2011) and 'The Biology of Desire: Why Addiction is Not a Disease' (2015), which challenge the disease model of addiction through neuroscientific research and personal narratives. Now retired from academia, he practices clinical psychology and continues writing and speaking on addiction-related topics.
