Maggie Stevenson
Margaret Stevenson (c.1807 – 28 September 1874) was an English-Australian writer, satirist, and columnist known for her contributions to early South Australian newspapers under the pseudonym 'A Colonist.' Born with a classical education in Paris, she was fluent in multiple languages, an accomplished pianist, and assisted her father with biographical works before marrying journalist George Stevenson in 1836 and emigrating to South Australia.[1][4]
