M. Scott Peck

M. Scott Peck (1936–2005) was an American psychiatrist, author, and spiritual leader best known for his 1978 bestseller The Road Less Traveled, which sold over 10 million copies and explored psychology, love, and spiritual growth.[2][4] He served in the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in psychiatry, practiced privately in Connecticut, and co-founded the Foundation for Community Encouragement in 1984 to promote community principles.[1][3] Peck received awards like the 1984 Kaleidoscope Award for Peacemaking and integrated spirituality into his work following his Christian baptism in 1980.[3][4]
