M. Paul Friedberg

M. Paul Friedberg (Marvin Paul Friedberg) was an American landscape architect renowned for designing playful, socially responsible public spaces and revolutionizing the theory of play in urban design. He founded the urban landscape architecture program at the City College of New York and established the award-winning firm MPFP in 1958. Friedberg passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving a legacy of adventure playgrounds and innovative plazas.
