Luís de Camões
Luís de Camões is considered Portugal's greatest poet and a major figure of the Renaissance. He is best known for his epic poem 'Os Lusíadas,' which celebrates Portuguese maritime explorations and is a cornerstone of Portuguese literature. His lyrical poetry also had a profound influence on later writers.
