Luigi Barzini
Luigi Barzini Sr. (1874–1947) was an Italian journalist, war correspondent, and senator, renowned as the most noted journalist of the second half of the Italian Belle Époque. Born in Orvieto to Ettore Barzini and Maria Bartoccini, he began his career in 1898 with Corriere della Sera and later became a National Fascist Party member in the Italian Senate from 1934 to 1945. He was the father of journalist Luigi Barzini Jr.[1][5]
